The history of soccer goes way back into the mid 19th century. It has different various way of playing soccer at that point of time. Till the Football Association took charge in 1863.
The rules of the game, including offside & tackling rules, have changed over the years. The FIFA took charge in 1904 and have since then, been in charge of all disciplinary and game conducts.
My Personal Development Goal was to dribble and score in a 2-a-side match against my friends. Scoring is the most basic rule in soccer. You score by kicking the ball into the opponent's net.
Dribbling is one of the most difficult ball skills to master and one of the most useful attacking moves. In typical game play, players attempt to propel the ball toward their opponents' goal through individual control of the ball, such as by dribbling (running with the ball close to their feet). For e.g, in the below picture, shows a footballer dribbling with the ball.

Dribbling creates space in tight situations where the dribbler is marked (closely guarded by a defender), and the dribbler can either score or create scoring chances after a successful dribble.
However, dribbling, if poorly mastered and used, may result in the loss of possession either when the ball is intercepted or tackled by a defender.
The purpose of learning such skills, can provide favours to own team, be it in passing or scoring. For my goal, it would be like my idol, Lionel Messi, currently playing for club Barcelona in Spain, to dribble and score a goal.

Here's 2 videos on his dribbling skills.
